The Microphone for Acoustic Bass from AMT is a tailpiece-mounted microphone and preamplifier system for contrabass. The system allows the player to adjust the microphone, or move it from one instrument to another quickly and easily. The microphone’s position is adjustable by way of a 9″ gooseneck.
The AP40 studio preamp includes a transformer-less circuit to keep the signal as clean as possible with an XLR output, and requires phantom power or a 9 volt battery. This preamp is designed to sit on the floor, out of the way of the player or any stands. It can be used for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist, and is well-suited for professional sound applications.
The system includes the AP40 Studio preamp, adjustable tail piece mount, XLR output, quick release mount, a 10′ cable from the microphone to the preamp (it is equipped with AMT’s Disconnecting Cable Technology to allow the microphone to be used wirelessly) and a hard case.Compact, suitable for travelAdjustable gooseneck provides latitude in mounting to fit different instrumentsHand crafted in the USA
