The mic utilizes circuitry that promises an open, detailed, and dimensional sound across its frequency range. The TF11 FET shares components in common with other Telefunken Elektroakustik designs, such as its single-membraned, CK12-style, edge-terminated capsule. The built-in amplifier comprises a proprietary take on a FET mic amplifier similar to the M60. This is coupled with a custom, large-format, nickel-iron core transformer fashioned by OEP/Carnhill, a renowned manufacturer.
