Zacuto Rolls out Gratical Firmware Update 3.00

Zacuto, long known for creating innovative solutions for filmmakers, continues to support and improve the already stunning Gratical HD and Gratical X EVF with improved functionality and more user control. Based on user feedback, the 3.00 firmware update enables a slew of features and is available to users at no cost. Not only does the update enable new features, it also delivers a new, more efficient display layout that offers you more choices of which features to display.
The firmware automatically detects which version of the Gratical you have, and enables those features appropriate to your EVF. The Gratical HD benefits the most, activating all the functions of the new firmware, while users of the Gratical X will only benefit from features specific to the enabled options on their EVF.? The new and improved features include: vectorscope and waveform now share the same location on the display (you can toggle between them using the joystick); audio meters and timecode display with SDI sources; zebra bars can be set to show an inclusive range; 2X anamorphic de-squeeze setting for 4:3 aspect ratios; additional support for LUTs from Lattice program; and the battery meter will now blink red before the battery dies.
This update expands the incredibly useful feature set of your Gratical, making it even more versatile and necessary for enhancing all your creative video projects¡ªand it¡¯s free!
Zacuto Rolls out Gratical Firmware Update 3.2
Zacuto, long known for creating innovative solutions for filmmakers, continues to support and improve the already stunning Gratical HD and Gratical X EVFs with improved functionality and more user control. The previous update (3.00) enabled a slew of new features and provided a new, more efficient display layout. Firmware update 3.2 adds support for Mac USB formats, fixes four bugs, and implements Record Light for the Canon C300/C500 cameras, the Sony F5/F55/FS7, and the RED Epic/Scarlet (via SDI only). (The Record Light feature must be purchased separately for the Gratical X.)
The four bug fixes resolve the issues of
1. the Gratical restarting when a custom LUT is imported;2. images shifting position;3. buttons periodically freezing;4. the inability to support the 480p60 format out of the Canon 5D Mark II.?
The previous update¡¯s (3.00) new and improved features included: vectorscope and waveform being positioned in the same location on the display (with toggle capability); audio meters and timecode display with SDI sources; ability of zebra bars to show an inclusive range; 2X anamorphic de-squeeze setting for 4:3 aspect ratios; additional support for LUTs from Lattice program; and the battery meter was updated to blink red before the battery dies. If you missed that last update, all of the features are included in the current update.
Update 3.2 is available right now, on Zacuto¡¯s website, and it¡¯s free!
